Are you looking for help in your household or with your children? Au Pair Mallorca, S.L. has applications of Au Pairs on file which search for a host family both on the Balearic Islands and abroad.

Tasks for an au pair:
Normal tasks for an au pair are divided between the household and children.  

At home: making children beds, tidy rooms (children and theirs) and bathrooms up, ironing, washing, tidying the kitchen, vacuum and dusting, etc. BUT ALWAYS ONLY their own room and that of the children.
With children: helping them to dress, in the bath, playing and staying with them during the scheduled work time, helping them with homework and specially with learning a second language, taking them to school or the kindergarden, going with them to the park, cooking for them and helping them to eat, and twice a week babysitting, if needed.

Within this general pattern Au Pair Mallorca, S.L. offers two types of service: au pair and au pair plus.  

Au Pair: an au pair works 30 hours per week (babysitting is additional) and has one full day leave per week, usually over the weekend. At least one Sunday per month shall be free.
Au Pair Plus: if the family is in need of further support and work of more than 30 hours per week, you may chose a Au Pair Plus. For an Au Pair Plus the pocket money is to be agreed between both parties, and is normally higher than that for an au pair.

In any case, the tasks for the au pairs will not be those of a maid nor housekeeper.
 

Host family’ requirements:  
The host family agrees to facilitate free accommodation (if possible a separated room), food and pocket money previously agreed with the au pair (70,00€ per week is the recommended minimum).

The family helps the au pair to attend Spanish lessons if interested and providing her with free time to do so.
It is highly recommended that the host family spend some time with the au pair during her first hours at home, explaining the rules of the house including use of television, phone and/or Internet, visits of friends, etc. We recommend the family to take the necessary precautions against high phone or Internet bills.

The family picks the au pair up at the airport upon arrival, or shall pay for the taxi in case they cannot make it.  

We would be grateful if the family provides all information possible on the tasks they require the au pair to do, describing what they expect as well as stating the free time she will have per day in the application form to be filled in.
